Brief description of study

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a serious mental health condition that affects approximately 2.2 million adults in the United States. People with OCD experience unwanted, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and feel compelled to perform repetitive behaviors (compulsions). This study is a randomized, sham-controlled trial evaluating the safety, tolerability, and target engagement of multi-session subthalamic nucleus (STN)-targeted low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) in adults with OCD. Twenty participants will be randomized to receive either active or sham LIFU delivered via the ATTN201 wearable device (Attune Neurosciences) twice weekly over up to 8 sessions. All participants will undergo MRI at baseline and at three checkpoints. The study will evaluate two treatment course durations (4 sessions and 8 sessions of LIFU).
