Brief description of study
This study aims to develop a tool to help primary care providers detect memory and thinking changes earlier using video and audio from patient visits.
Detailed description of study
This study is recruiting Penn Medicine primary care patients to complete a video visit with a member of the research team. During this visit, which will be recorded, they will complete memory and movement tasks, and we will collect information about their performance in daily activities from someone who knows them well. We will use these data to develop a tool to help primary care providers detects signs of memory and thinking problems in their patients. Participants will receive reimbursement for participation.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Age: 65 years or above

Gender: All
Inclusion
Ages 65 and older
No prior diagnosis of cognitive impairment (e.g., dementia, mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease) and no prescriptions for donepezil, rivastigmine, galantamine, and/or memantine
Must be able to speak and understand English
Must provide written informed consent
Provide written authorization for using and disclosing protected health information (PHI).
Exclusion
Under the age of 65
Prior diagnosis of cognitive impairment or has prescriptions donepezil, rivastigmine, galantamine, and/or memantine)
Unable to speak and understand English
