The overall objectives of this study are to quantify the proportion of patients who opt in to testing for the genes CDH1 and TP53 on multigene panel testing as well as those who decline testing for these genes, and determine factors that may be predictive of who does and does not agree to include these genes on their genetic testing panels. The primary outcome variable of this study is the proportion of Cancer Genetics Risk Evaluation Program patients who wish to include the genes CDH1 & TP53 on multi-gene panel testing for cancer predisposition syndromes. The secondary outcome variables of this study are the reasons why people forego CDH1 & TP53 testing on multi-gene panel testing for cancer predisposition syndromes (which are recorded in genetic counseling notes as part of routine standard-of-care) and demographic and other personal factors that are predictive of forgoing testing for these genes.
