The objective of this consortium is to generate and utilize omics level data to elucidate the early steps in ovarian cancer (OvCa) initiation and provide the broader OvCa research community with a centralized resource of comprehensive omics datasets surveying the molecular landscapes of OvCa precursor lesions and their associated microenvironment. This work will provide immediate and long-term benefits toward the development of strategies to diagnose high-grade serous OvCa (HGSC), a deadly disease with no effective screening or early detection strategies. The proposed work will also directly build upon some of our seminal studies identifying serous tubal intraepithelial carcinoma (STIC) lesions of the fallopian tube (FT) as the origin of the majority of HGSCs.
