Brief description of study

This study will:
-- Collect tissue and body fluid specimens for immediate analysis and short-term storage while protecting the confidentiality of individuals undergoing resection of soft tissue sarcoma and GIST -- Correlate relevant clinical characteristics for the identification of significant tumor and immune cell markers that may have impact on long-term prognosis The primary objective of this study is to collect tissue and body fluid specimens for immediate analysis and short-term storage while protecting the confidentiality of individuals undergoing resection of soft tissue sarcoma and GIST at the University of Pennsylvania. Tissue and body fluid specimens will be used in conjunction with scientifically relevant clinical characteristics to identify significant tumor and immune cell markers that may have impact on long-term prognosis.
