Brief description of study
The objective is to obtain cortical tissue that is clinically suspected to be normal brain tissue from patients undergoing epilepsy surgical resection, tumor resection, and normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) requiring placement of a shunt catheter. electrophysiological assays generating tissue cultures
