PROSPECT RP
Brief description of study
The purpose of this study is to see if the drugs methotrexate, azathioprine, adalimumab, infliximab, and tocilizumab are effective in treating relapsing polychondritis (RP). The study has 2 stages. Participants enrolled in the first stage of the study will receive methotrexate or azathioprine (if there is a medical contraindication to methotrexate) for 6 months. If you are not responding to the drug at the end of 6 months, you will start stage 2 of the study. In stage 2, participants will receive either adalimumab, infliximab, or tocilizumab (if there is a medical contraindication to adalimumab or infliximab) for 6 months. The choice between adalimumab vs infliximab will depend on availability and/or your preference between the adalimumab (a subcutaneous self-injecting drug vs infliximab (intravenous infusions administered at infusion centers).
