Tele-BE (PDPH Reliance for Aims 2-4)
Brief description of study
The study is being conducted to develop and test a telehealth tool intended to support community mental health clinicians to deliver cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). We are interested in collaborating with clinicians and clients to test it out and get feedback on how to improve it. This tool is based on principles of telepsychology and behavioral economics, which we have shortened the name to “Tele-BE”. The main purpose of the study is to test whether Tele-BE could enhance standard of care CBT by making it easier and more motivating to use CBT components. Clinicians will be randomized into one of two groups to either use the new tool or telehealth as usual over 16 weeks with two of their patients. Clinicians and patients are asked to complete surveys across 4 timepoints and brief interview. Enrollment is by invitation only.
