Brief description of study

Target population: HIV+ kidney txp recipients who are willing to accept an organ from an HIV+ deceased donor. Purpose: to quantify the association, if any, b/t donor HIV status and risk of rejection in kidney txp recipients, determine long-term outcomes, and understand the immunologic and virologic mechanisms of rejection in HIV-infected recipients from a donor w/ or w/out HIV. Main study procedures: blood/tissue/data collection.
