RECHARGE
Brief description of study
The RECHARGE program includes two separate trials, RECHARGE: Women and RECHARGE: Minorities. The objectives of the RECHARGE program are to:
1. Compare the treatment effect of PCI vs CABG on survival and QOL improvement in women (RECHARGE:Women)
2. Compare the treatment effect of PCI vs CABG on survival and QOL improvement in patients who are either Black or Hispanic (RECHARGE: Minorities). Hierarchical composite of:
1. All-cause death, and
2. Time-averaged change from baseline in generic QOL (physical and mental summary scores measured using the 12-item Short Form Survey (SF-12v2)
The primary endpoint will be analyzed through 5 years when the last enrolled patient reaches 3-year follow-up, using all available data. Time-averaged change from baseline in disease-specific QOL (7-item Seattle Angina Questionnaire overall summary (SAQ-OS) score), analyzed reported through 5 years when the last enrolled patient reaches 3-year follow-up, using all available data.
