Brief description of study
The purpose of this research study is to evaluate whether adding stimulation of the subcallosal cingulate white matter using the investigational Infinity Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) system in treatment of Major Depressive Disorder is safe and beneficial. This study is looking for 6 patients with Major depressive disorder to participate. Their participation in the study includes a screening period, surgery, and blinded randomized phases.
