Brief description of study
- PURPOSE
- The goal of this study is to measure the levels of over 11,000 proteins in the aqueous humor and correlate it with single-cell transcriptomics data. This will improve understanding of the molecular mechanisms and cell types contributing to dry AMD, POAG, and Stargardts disease. This will allow us to improve understanding of the biological basis of these diseases, enabling development of targeted and more personalized therapies. For FTD, this will improve our understanding of the retinal cell types that are involved by this neurodegeneration and may lead to a biomarker to facilitate diagnosis of FTD. The primary outcome variable will be the quantitative measurement of over 11,000 proteins from aqueous humor. Downstream computational methods will be used to identify the cellular origin of these proteins and determine the difference in protein abundance and cell types that occur in disease states. None.
