Brief description of study
Join the largest, long-term nationwide study that hopes to better understand baby brain development. Leading researchers in the fields of child development and neuroscience will work with participating families and their children to understand how the brain develops and is affected by exposure to substances and other environmental, social, and biological factors during pregnancy and after birth. What we learn from this research will have lasting impacts on future generations of children.
The study plans to enroll over 7000 families from across the U.S.; about 300 will be enrolled in the Philadelphia area.
If you are interested in participating in the study or want to learn more please contact our team at hbcd@chop.edu or 267-425-0724
