Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to partner with patients to understand how to best treat the mental health and substance use needs of individuals living with HIV who receive care at Penn Medicine. Participating in this study involves a one-time interview. During the interview, a researcher will ask you about your experiences getting treatment for opioid use and mental health. We want to learn what helps people connect with care, what makes it challenging, and how we can help more patients living with HIV access the care they need for substance use and mental health needs.

Detailed description of study

One-time interview that will last for one-hour.
Interview can be completed by video or phone.
Compensation will be provided.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: HIV, opioid use disorders, psychiatric disorders
Age: Between 18 Years - 100 Years
Gender: All

You may be eligible if you meet ALL of the following criteria:

HIV diagnosis
Receiving HIV care at Penn Medicine
Opioid Use Disorder diagnosis
18 y/o or older
Speaks English
Access to a telephone
