Insights in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and Observational Outcomes in Real World (DISCOVER-HCM)
Brief description of study
The purpose of this registry is to understand the safety and effectiveness of various medications used in treating the condition of symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a type of heart disease that causes the muscular wall in the chambers of the heart to thicken which can cause blood flow in and out of the heart to be blocked. This registry will also evaluate the impact of these medications on your quality of life.
Detailed description of study
If you participate in this observational registry, the research team will collect information about you and your condition from your medical records during a 5 year time period. You will also complete surveys about your quality of life every 3 months. Study participation does not require any extra visits to your doctors office.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

Age: Between 18 Years - 99 Years

Gender: All
Diagnosis of obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with current or past medication use; adult; heart failure class 2,3 or 4
