Brief description of study

This study will measure the amount of a protein in the brain known as tau using an imaging procedure called Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT). Findings from this study lead to a better understanding of factors that influence the course of Alzheimer’s and other diseases of aging. Participation in this study will include one PET/CT scan with AV-1451, a PET imaging agent. Study takes about 4 hours and will be combined with other imaging assessments from the MPC Main study.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Medical Research
  • Age: Between 18 Years - 99 Years
  • Gender: All

Participants have already agreed and consented to participate in the MPC main Study. Participants have diagnosis of Mild Cognitive Impairment ( MCI) or possible/probable Alzheimer's disease (AD).
