Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to determine if the combination of the three anti-cancer drugs carboplatin, paclitaxel, and ramucirumab is helpful in shrinking tumors or delaying tumor growth in participants with non-small cell lung cancer. This study will also assess whether it is safe to combine these drugs.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Non-small Cell Lung Cancer
  • Age: 18 years or above
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Advanced non-squamous NSCLC (Stage IV or recurrent after initial curative intent therapy) in adults age 18 or older
  • Prior exposure to 4-6 cycles of Pem/Carbo/Pembro and PD after at least 18 weeks of maintenance Pemetrexed, Pembrolizumab or the combination of the two.
  • PS 0-1

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Presence of a driver mutation that is susceptible to targeted therapy
  • Other active invasive malignancy requiring ongoing therapy
  • Grade 2 or higher sensory neuropathy
  • Evidence of untreated brain metastases
  • History of bleeding diatheses or recent, antecedent hemoptysis (> 1/2 teaspoon in prior 2 months)

This study investigates the effectiveness of a combination of three investigational medications in treating advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The purpose of this study is to see if these medications can shrink tumors or slow their growth in participants who have previously received chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Participants in this study will receive a combination of three medications: carboplatin, a type of chemotherapy; paclitaxel, which is administered weekly and is another chemotherapy drug; and ramucirumab, which is designed to target specific pathways in cancer cells. The study will assess the safety and effects of these drugs when used together.

  • Who can participate: Adults 18 or older with advanced non-squamous NSCLC, who have had 4-6 cycles of certain chemotherapy and immunotherapy, may join. They must not have a driver mutation or active invasive cancer needing ongoing treatment.
  • Study details: Participants will take investigational drugs: carboplatin, paclitaxel, and ramucirumab. The study will observe their effects on tumor growth and safety.
