Brief description of study
The research study is being conducted to better understand factors that lead to gastric (stomach) cancer, including differences in our genes that may put some people at increased risk of developing gastric cancer compared to other people. Both people with increased risk as well as people with average risk of gastric cancer will be asked to participate in this study. If you agree to join the study, at the time of an upper endoscopy that is being performed as part of your routine care, you will have a blood sample collected and extra biopsies of your stomach will be obtained during your procedure.
