Brief description of study

This study is a case controlled study intended to assess the microbiome (the bacterial composition in the colon) and the metabolome (the metabolites produced by the microbiome) in patients with colonic polyposis, comparing those with a known genetic cause for their polyposis, those with no known genetic etiology for their polyposis, and healthy controls without colonic polyposis. This study will be accomplished through collecting and analyzing stool, mucosal biopsies, and in select cases polyps from study participants during regularly schedule endoscopic procedures.
