Brief description of study
The purpose of this study is to use Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques to further evaluate vascular and structural characteristics of patients with Sickle Cell Anemia. The MRI imaging will also provide further insight on cerebral blood flow and oxygen metabolism within the brain. MRI uses radio waves and magnets to take pictures of your brain. We will study how well these advanced MRI methods can identify indicators of neurologic complications in patients with Sickle Cell Anemia.
