Addressing Barriers to Engagement with Harm Reduction Services for Opioid Overdose Prevention

Brief description of study

Help us understand how to better prevent harm in people who use drugs. If you are over 18, live or work in New York City, and have used drugs in the past 3 months, then you may qualify for a research study on your experiences with harm reduction health services. Eligible participants will complete a 30-minute survey. After completing the survey, each participant will receive a $20 prepaid gift card via email. Once we send you your $20 gift card, we will delete your email address.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    People who use drugs
  • Age: Between 18 Years - 100 Years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria:
  • Age 18+
  • Live or work in New York City
  • Used opioids (including heroin, nonprescription opioids, or fentanyl) for nonprescription purposes (e.g., to get high) in the past 90 days.
  • Read English
Exclusion Criteria:
  • Under age 18
  • Have not used opioids for nonprescription purposes in the past 90 days
